Looong Weekend

It wa sa long weekend this time. We had Naomi which as awesome.
On Saturday Steph, Nimmer, Autumn and I went to IKEA to get some stuff. It was a good trip and after 3 hours in the store we went home with some great stuff. Computer desk, and a few things for us, but it was mainly to get Naomi's room decked out as a little girl. Awesome.
I had a game on Sunday and we lost to Nike in the semi-finals. 2-1 in overtime. That sucked. Went to Neals in the evening as it was Heather's birthday, and watched the Oscars there which was cool.
Like I said. Looooong weekend.

Sort-of Anniversary

Today is two years since Steph and I started dating.
First date was at McMenamins in West Linn, and that was also the first time we kissed.
Nice.
Very nice.
Another "anniversary" next week.

Nimmer is here!

I don't know what it is but I get energized everytime Naomi comes to stay withme. She is such a little girl. She is sassy, smart, beautiful and a miracle walking around. It is so nice.
I got off work early today about 3:30pm so I asked Noami's mother if I could come and pick her up a few hours in advance. It became a HUGE deal because Naomi had something planned. Come to find out it was just playing with the neighbor kid. Nice. So basically it was an opportunity for her to screw with me again. That's okay. What comes around goes around. I have faith in the court system that she will get her come-uppance. It is hard not to be bitter. She is still grieving according to Dr. Loveland. I must just be that hard to get over !!! :)

Fumes

Well we painted Naomi's bunk bed today. Holy crap...i forgot how much I loved painting. Seriously. i love it. I love the smell, I love being creative, I love everything about it.
Satin purple, with an acrylic enamel coat. Sweet.
That's all for today.....

Maybe too many fumes... :o)

The dreaded "away goal"

Shit.
Man Utd lost to AC Milan in the Champions League. I went home at lunch to watch it and Neal came over too. MU played horribly and deserved to be on the losing end. Now they have to go to the San Siro and at least eliminate the away goal that Milan got. If you are confused about what I just wrote, don't worry, yuo're just American.

Halfway

Well. We got to halfway in the pregnancy. It is really cool to think i am going to be a dad again. I can't wait. Steph is doing great. She hasn't gained much weight at all, and is doing all the right things.
I think there was a bit of confusion over Tim and Misty's wedding and then the baby so soon afterwards and who is staying where. Ah, good old family issues. Not a big deal as it turned out. I was trying to explain (successfully, I think) that I don't want anyone staying with us leading up to the baby. I mean "in the house". I know my parents are coming up in August and I think Tom and Pat are, too. Betty Jo is planning a trip, also. Well I will have to see where everyone stays. I know Tom and Pat have the RV which is cool. Steph and Jo get competitive when it comes to who stays where, and why. I think Jo has a hard time saying no to people which causes issues, but then Steph jumps to conclusions too soon. :) Good times.

What did you do to me?!!

I don't know what Steph did to me last night (no....not that!), but I woke up this morning with such a bad back you would not believe. Well, actually it was all around my ribs, but mainly in the back. I am writing this at about 3pm and it is finally loosening up to where I can twist about a bit, but this morning I was pretty much out of it. I had a game yesterday (won 1-0) and I don't think I hurt it during, but you never know. Anyway.
We hung out with Kenny and Darla in the evening which was fun. That was the first time we had hung out just the two of us so it was nice. Their three kids were there (Josh, Autin and Samantha) and they were entertaining. The most entertaining point however came when Kenny fell asleep and the boys tormented him with balloons and the like. Amazing how much fun you can have when you haev been drinking. I think I will try to get Steph pregnant again and again, as I love having a designated driver ! "Sorry kids, your dad is passed out again...go and play with your 9 brothers and sisters!"

The Gut Bomb

Well we got up early today and went to the Bear Paw for breakfast. Cindy cooks the meanest omelete ever, but it just sits there in your stomach, a.k.a. the Gut Bomb.
I have a game in a few hours which should be interesting. Running around with half a pound of grease in my stomach!

Slow Day

Well today was slow.
I had soccer at 9:30am. Good game for Lompoc. We won 3-1 and I got the second goal (would that be the winner, then?) and all was good. In other soccer news, United beat Everton 2-0 in the 5th round of the FA Cup. Nice.
I got home and Steph was a little bit tired, so we took a shower and then went back to bed for a lie down. Yes, a lie down was all ! It ended up that we fell asleep for over 2 hours! Wow. It was much needed though and I felt better for it.
Steph has been pushing herself to get this work thing taken care of. Her externship is getting done and she will be delighted when it is over. It is those last few weeks that are going to be tough. The finish line is in sight, and I think that makes it harder.
Autumn came round and basically chilled out. She dropped off some Pampered Chef stuff, and then her and Steph chatted for a couple of hours about Pampered Chef stuff! Hard to imagine how that could be done, but I am witness to say it did!
Spoke with Nimmer, she is fine. She was going to the hospital because Emily was having her baby today apparently. Haven't decided if I should do a congrats card. I think I should take the high ground and send something, but I will sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning.
I think I am going to see if Neal wants a beer.

Holy Crap ! Time has passed...

Hmmm...let's see. It is now February 2005. Obviously I am going to have to get better at this blogging thing.
Birthday two days ago. Pretty cool. I got a projector from Steph.
What else? Oh yeah, we're having a baby in July. Quite a lot has happened since my last blog. My boys are still capable of swimming which is good to know. So are my brother's as Phil and alys are going to have a baby in march. I think phil is pretty nervous but he will handle it fine.
Em and Darren moved in with each other last week, and dad is up visiting now to have a pow-wow with Phil, Les, Em about their relatiosnhips. Hmm. Oh to be a fly on the wall.
Court yesterday. Got the visitation sorted out (I think). Now it just comes down to money. According to Bill I am going to be paying $200 month less in child support. That is great, not because I want to pay less for Naomi, but because my bitch of an ex-wife can't be honest about the expenses. Including her 401K, which she hid from me, and I am going to try and recover. Good times. I hate lawyers, but of all the lawyers I hate, I like mine the best!
