Barry Bonds: Druggie
Living here in the States I, of course, have a friend or two who is into baseball. It is the national pastime here. Seriously. It is an obsession with people. Just ask Kenny.
I have never really understood it. It is cool to play, but people here love watching it, too. I guess it is whatever you grew up with.
One of the landmark achievements here is about to be surpassed by none other than Barry Bonds. He is about to pass 'Babe Ruth' as number 2 on the all-time home run records when he hits number 714. He has to chse the all-time lead now (755) of Hank Aaron.
Bonds' achievements are impressive indeed. There will however always be an asterisk next to his name.
The man is juiced up !!
Bonds, who has denied ever "knowingly" using drugs, is a hulk of a man. He is huge. Now, I know you can get huge by lifting weights, but his transformation from rookie to 16 year veteran is ridiculous.
Couple of protein shakes, anyone?
The man is a colossus. I think he is hurting baseball. The attention surrounding him is ever increasing due to the record books, but it will ALWAYS be tarnished. Sports Illustrated posted this picture on their website today, which I think perfectly sums up the whole thing.
I just wish he would admit it.
