Update on the Car Wreck

Yeah, not so good.

Looks like the car is totalled. That in itself sucks, because now we have to go and purchase another car. We were going to be doing something like that anyway in January, but this obviously hastens it up a little! If you look at the pictures earlier a few posts back you will see that there doesn't actually look like there is any damage to the car other than a dent in the trunk, and some paint missing. Well, the frame of the car got twisted pretty good, and the entire exhaust system got pushed into the engine and so there was damage there, too! I could not believe how much it all added up!

The main concern though is my back. I have been going to see the chiropractor all week, and yesterday it was so bad I had decided to go and get Xrays. There is no cracking or any other signs of fracture etc, but the strain on it is immense. I had to cancel my refereeing and the season ender game last night that I was due to play in. Not good.

The worst part about it is that I cannot pick up Jack! Now, admittedly, he is a fat little bugger, but at 27lbs, it is something I should be able to do without much trouble, even with a bad back. Not so. It really hurts to do that.

I have had three days off work so far, and had to cancel a trip to Indianapolis next week, because I cannot stay in one place for very long (i.e. sitting on an airplane) due to the pain. It really is amazing how much you use your back in everyday life. It is the core of your whole body!

Hoping that it gets beter soon.
