Age

I have come to the conclusion after this Memorial Day soccer tournament that perhaps it is time to hang up the ol' boots from the premier league.
To be fair I have been saying that for a few years, but I really think that my body is finding it hard to recover.
We had five games this weekend, and they have taken a toll. We have finished 7th in the tournament that we should have at least got to the semi's in. It will improve though....I am just not sure that I can keep going through it.
I am considering refereeing though. I was approached about it this weekend and I would certainly like to give it a shot....not to mention that these refs make up to $85 a game !! PER GAME !!! Holy crap. Some are good. Others are bad, but I think I would do okay. The bad thing is that many of these referees these days have not played the game before. They know the game, they know the rules, but they don't really understand that game. I have that advantage I suppose.
Okay, now I have to go soak my aching body !
