Exercise Is Good
I am exercising now. Originally it was out of necessity because, well, how do I put this? I was getting fat!
It is amazing how much my lack of soccer playing has affected my appearance. It's not a big deal, and it isn't like I shot up in weight, but I just felt sluggish! Extra couple of pounds, too, but it was basically a feeling more than a look.
So anyway, I started to run. I figured I would take Wicket, too, and that way she gets in shape, get's out of the house, and i have a running "partner"!
It has only been a couple of weeks now, but I am starting to feel great again! Maybe it is all in my head, but I actually look forward to my running now. Seriously. It is pretty cool because Wicket also knows that when i put on my red running shorts and yellow shoes that she is going for a run, and she goes mental!!
This weekend I think we are going to find a second weight bench, too, so that I can continue to do some weight work too. I don't want to bulk up, but just add that to the routine.
I should also, at this point, give a special shout out to our friends, Kenny and Darla, who started the same thing about a month ago. They also cut out alcohol from their diet, too, which i have copied somewhat. I am not completely removing it, but am cutting it from an 'every night' thing to a once a week type thing. One beer ain't gonna kill me, or make me fat, but two a night (which was what it was) will.
Anyway, thought I would let you know the news. Don't know why, just feel really good about it.

I'd go running with you but I'm not sure I want to be seen with a man wearing red shorts and yellow shoes. I'm just sayin'.
But seriously, congrats on the lifestyle change. We'll all be ready for that boat very soon!
